Here’s the guide for cityville city port, first you must be level 20 to receive this feature and quests
once you have met all the requirements you will see a new quest icon on your screen :

where to find city port in cityville :
you will get the city port in your inventory (optionally you can also click on “Place now” from the quest description menu).
how to place city port in cityville :
Place the City Port near water and start building it; it will take 7 clicks.
*Note: The City Port has to be placed on fully expanded land and water.
To finish building the City Port you will need the right materials.
2 whistle
8 sunglasses
8 deck chair
2 2×4
8 visor
You can get these materials by requesting them from your friends and when your friends send them to you from the free gifts page; optionally, you can also purchase them with City Cash.
Once your City Port is finished the first Cruise Ship will arrive automatically.
Clicking on it will unload the Tourists and send them to already supplied stores, otherwise you would have to supply a store before you receive benefits from the tourists. Please note that if you reload your city for whatever reason you will lose your tourists. You can only unload tourists in your City once every 12 Hours
To supply the Cruise Ship again and send it on its way just click on it

The game will not let me place the port. I have expanded to include water and land. Plenty of place to put port – still won’t let me place. I have the goal it says “Place” my city port I click it but it makes no difference how far into the water or close to the water on my expanded land/water – it will not let me place. What is up with that?
I am having the same problem—-even trying to place in the same spot a friend has their’s and it will not let me.
I HAVE TRIED STORING BUILDINGS, MOVING STREETS, SIDEWALKS, I CAN’T MOVE THE 2 PIERS AT THE SOUTH END, IF THIS IS WHERE IT HAS TO BE PLACED WHICH I DON’T BELIEVE BECAUSE I HAVE SEVERAL FRIENDS THAT HAVE HALF IN THE WATER, OTHERS AT THE EDGE OF THE WATER, I HAVE MOVED EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE 2 PIERS, I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO ADD THIS FEATURE BUT IT WILL NOT PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I HAVE SPENT MANY HOURS MOVING BUILDINGS WHICH I DON’T LIKE THE ARRANGEMENT NEAR AS WELL WHICH INCLUDES TOWER EATS.

You have to put it on land that is to the very south, it will not let you rotate it for some reason so you cant put it on the east of your town,

Can I put it on the river? Or does it always have to face out to sea?
You actually can place it on the river (which was a big surprise to me). The only downside is that when the port actually opens (after items collected), a dock appears that faces westward out to the coast (and partially over land). So when the cruise ship arrives, it actually cruises straight over the town to arrive at the dock on land (which looks like a bug). But it doesn’t seem to cause any real problem, for now. I relocated the berth to face the river for appearances sake. If they ever allow more than one cruise ship, you’ll probably want to relocate the port to the coast, because half of the ship berths wouldn’t be in water.
DO NOT place it by the river.. in the later stage there are bridge and dam with fixed location on the river.. the city port cant be relocated.. have to rebuild from scatch after removal to the south coast..
You have to place your city port’s south end tip at the water. Anything else won’t work.
I have a friend who has placed it on the river with only the eastern side in the water. I have tried placing it in same place, wont work, have tried on south side east side, corners, water and land fully expanded but it won’t go anywhere!!!
I have no CITY PORT since it was launch? What will I do? I’m tired of waiting my other friends have it already.
I am at level 57 and I still cant get the city port. I have most of my side missions done but this has not come up for me. Anyone else missing the boat?

I bought the land past the little “river” and it is not letting me place anything on that land! Why? Have I wasted my money on land that we aren’t allowed to use? I don’t understand.

mine with red squares,,,,, cant place anything,, cant move things and i am stucked there,,,, i dont know if it has sumthing to do with connections… i also tried opening other game on my laptop but stil the problem exist… but when other laptop open it… it can be moved…anybodyelse having the same pro blem as mine?
I had a hard time with my city port for a long time. Then I was finally able to place it next to the water by the train tracks. I extended my land where half was land and half was water. My city port was placed there perfectly. So try putting it by the train tracks. Good luck

You need to have some city extension on the water as well, not only on land.

I have placed a port and a tourist boat but I can’t place the pier. I noticed a boat had been unlocked but it can’t be placed because it has to be by the pier. I’ve looked everywhere.

I have three placed ports but I want to relocate two of them farther apart. Can’t seem to move them. Tried with ships at mooring and without. Is it an option?
For those of you having problems with moving ports or piers:
To move a port or pier there must be no ships at all associated with that port/pier, so your options are either:
1. Move all the ships to other ports/piers, move the port/pier and then replace all the ships.
or
2. Build a new port/pier, move all the ships to it and then delete the old port/pier.
or
3. Delete all the ships, move the port/pier and then buy new ships.

I have placed my city port in cityville, and upon finishing its construction I get the “congratulations” popup message. And then it crashes and sets me back to building it all over again. What is up with this?
