Q: What are some of the differences between the two apps?
A: Here they are:
- HolidayTown is a totally separate app from CV Hometown. You may have both apps on your iOS device at the same time.
- HolidayTown Cash will not transfer to CV Hometown.
- Progressing in HolidayTown will reap rewards for BOTH apps!

Q: What is the link between HolidayTown and CV Hometown?
A: There are quite a few!
- Complete the right quests in HolidayTown, and you’ll be awarded items in both HolidayTown and CV Hometown!
- Remember, these particular items can only be collected by playing HolidayTown!
- You also receive bonuses for leveling up! Expect to receive coins or energy every few levels; make sure you keep your eye out for it!
- Don’t forget that there are more items to be collected via the Countdown Calendar (see below!)
Q: Explain how the Countdown Calendar works.
A: Each day, an item from the Countdown menu will be unlocked (the date each item will unlock is clearly labeled in the Countdown Menu)
- You’ll receive a notification that that day’s item will be ready to collect.
- On that day only, you can collect that item for free! You will also receive a duplicate of that item in CV Hometown! It will show up in your inventory in CV Hometown.
- If you really like a particular decoration from the Countdown Calendar, you can purchase additional ones! For each one you purchase, you’ll get a duplicate one in CV Hometown for free!
Q: I forgot to pick up the free item on the day it was released! Now what?
A: You’ll have to purchase that item if you did not pick up the free one in time. Don’t worry though, you’ll still receive a duplicate of that item in CV Hometown after purchasing it!

Some players may be having problems logging into Facebook from Holidaytown, here’s a workaround for now :
1) Log out of FB.
2) Uninstall the FB and Holidaytown app.
3) Reinstall the Holidaytown app.
4) Log back into the game and play the game. Log into FB through there. (Logging into Facebook should happen through m.facebook.com via Safari)
5) Then reinstall the FB app
